Kelsey is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, with more than 5 years therapy experience. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, women’s and reproductive issues, life transitions, and spiritual crises. Kelsey has several uniques counseling options, which incorporate mindfulness, body work, and ecotherapy to provide a more holistic treatment approach.
Individual therapy is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.
Therapy can help people overcome obstacles to their well-being. It can increase positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem. People in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals. Many find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware. Some people even go to ongoing therapy for self-growth.
Anyone who has experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, or postpartum depression knows how devastating the effects can be. It is important to receive mental and emotional support as you navigate the journey.
With over 8 years of personal experience with infertility, and extensive training in the trauma of infertility, family building and third party reproduction, grief and pregnancy loss, and perinatal mood disorders, Kelsey provides a unique balance of relatability and expertise.
Ecotherapy is a rapidly emerging field that refers to the growth and healing that is nurtured by a connection to earth and nature. Ecotherapy combines the benefits of talk therapy, with the additions of mindfulness through “flow”, and the spirituality of interconnectedness to nature.
Kelsey’s love of the outdoors, combined with her unique skill set and experience as a ski instructor, former rock climbing instructor, yoga instructor, and avid hiker and racer, allow her to provide opportunities for therapy outside of the typical office setting. Whether it’s a walk-and-talk trail session, or a half-day on the slopes, you are sure to be enriched physically and spiritually by the intensive form of therapy.
